During the Christmas Day walkabout, royal fans could not get enough of Prince Louis's hilarious antics.
Yesterday, Prince Louis joined his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte in Sandringham, Norfolk, along with his parents, Prince William and Kate.
Prince Louis Stands Out During Royal Christmas
Prince Louis and his family greeted well-wishers en route to the annual Christmas Day church service at St Mary Magdalene Church. The delightful four-year-old stole the spotlight as he was captured on camera collecting gifts and tugging on his mother's hand.
Prince Louis appears momentarily distracted by the gifts he dropped behind his family as they continue their walkabout without him. Prince Louis realizes he is not with his family and races to catch up with them, bringing his sister Charlotte gifts and flowers from the public.
The adorable moment was shared on Twitter, where many royal fans were left in fits of laughter by Prince Louis' antics. Just after service, the royal family stopped to chat with some of the well-wishers who had lined the route. It appeared that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were all given gifts by the crowds.
At one point, however, as Kate held Louis' hand while conversing, a cheeky well-wisher was seen charmingly tugging at her arm to hurry her back to Sandringham House. Moreover, today marked the first time that King Charles led his family to and from church, with him hosting Christmas at Sandringham for the first time this year since the death of his mother, the Queen, in September.
Queen Consort Camilla, Zara, and Mike Tindall, Edward and Sophie Wessex with Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn, and Princess Beatrice, her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and his son Wolfie were also spotted. Disgraced Prince Andrew made a surprise appearance at the church alongside his youngest daughter Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.
Due to the Covid pandemic, the late Queen spent two consecutive Christmases at Windsor Castle - the first with the Duke of Edinburgh, locked away from the rest of her family, as per Mirror. The adorable four-year-old prince wore a blue wool coat, purple shorts, and purple socks. And while his attire was undeniably charming, royal fans were all expressing the same concern about Louis' exposed legs in the December chill.
According to etiquette expert William Hanson, the choice of attire is rooted in a custom dating back to the sixteenth century. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, he stated, "It is very English to dress a young boy in shorts."
King Charles, 74, and Camilla, 75, led a large portion of the Royal Family to Sandringham for the traditional church service - they're first without the Queen. Thousands of onlookers were thrilled to see Prince William and Kate, both aged 40, with their three children.
Some individuals yelled, "We love you, Louis," as the four-year-old waved back. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this was the royal family's first traditional family walk to St Mary Magdalene Church since 2019, according to The Sun.

Royal Children Aren't Allowed to Sit With Senior Royals
The royal children are not only seated at a separate table but also in a separate room from their adult family members. The royal children remain completely separate from the rest of the family during Christmas lunch, in part due to the sheer number of guests.
Yesterday, however, Mike and Zara, along with their children, joined the rest of the royal family for the annual Christmas walk in Sandringham, appearing in festive attire:
Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with King Charles and Queen Camilla, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
Prince William and Kate Middleton participated in the walk for the first time as Prince and Princess of Wales and their son Prince Louis attended for the first time. Due to his status as a fashion icon, he wore knee-high socks to the event, Yahoo reported.
