Russian President Vladimir Putin's chief advisor, Dmitry Medvedev, who is the deputy of the Moscow leader's advisory security council, posted on Twitter his predictions of a civil war in the United States in 2023 that will result in an Elon Musk presidency.

The Russian official shared his "humble contribution" on the social media platform regarding what he thinks would unfold in the West next year. Included in Medvedev's list of wild predictions was that California and Texas will become independent states as a result of the civil war that he mentioned.

Civil War in the United States

He continued to claim that Mexico and Texas will form an allied state as Tesla CEO Musk will win a presidential election in several states following the civil war. The presidency will then be given over to the Republican Party.

However, Medvedev, who once served as Russia's president and is an ardent supporter of the war against Ukraine, did not only make surprising predictions regarding the United States. He also forecasted several surprising crashes within the European Union, as per Fox News.

The Russian authority said that the United Kingdom will reverse its Brexit policy and move to rejoin the EU, a move that will result in its collapse and the disappearance of the euro. Medvedev continued to claim that Hungary and Poland will occupy Ukrainian territory and that a "Fourth Reich will be created."

This would encompass the territory of Germany and all of its satellites, including Poland, the Baltic states, Czechia, Slovakia, the Kyiv Republic, and other outcasts. Afterward, Medvedev said that a war will break out between France and the Fourth Reich, causing Europe to be divided and Poland repartitioned.

According to Reuters, SpaceX CEO Musk later responded to Medvedev's predictions, replying to the Russian official's tweet saying, "Epic threat!!" However, the tech billionaire also criticized some of the Russian official's remarks as Medvedev has previously praised Musk for proposing that Ukraine cede territory to Russia in a peace deal.

Dmitry Medvedev's Wild Predictions

The chief advisor has, since the war that began on Feb. 24, 2022, reinvented himself as an arch-hawk, framing the conflict in apocalyptic, religious terms. He also referred to Ukrainian citizens as "cockroaches" in a language Kyiv authorities said is openly genocidal.

Last week, Medvedev made a rare visit to China, holding talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding foreign policy. In a statement, political scientist Vladimir Pastukhov said that Medvedev's new public persona seemed to have found support from Putin.

A political science professor at London's University of College London, Patushkov, wrote on his own Telegram that Medvedev's posts have found at least one reader and admirer, which was Putin.

While Musk initially praised Medvedev's predictions for 2023, he later criticized the remarks as the "most absurd predictions" that he has ever heard or seen.

The list of claims that Medvedev made included a forecast that oil prices will rise, going up to $150 a barrel while gas prices will top $5,000 per 1,000 cubic meters. He added that territorial realignment in Europe will cause the crash of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, WIONews reported.
