Flappy Bird "addicts" can continue to play the game, so long as they have a PS Vita.
According to IGN, Creator Simsim16 was able to recreate the game on LittleBigPlanet PS Vita. You can watch the video of the addictive game on the PS Vita on the video below. Click here to download the game for the PS Vita.
The gaming app, originally available for both Android and Apple devices, quickly took the Internet by storm after players became increasingly determined to defeat the most frustrating game ever created.
"The mobile game features a bird players must navigate through a series of pipes extending from the top and bottom of the screen. Players tap the screen to keep the bird airborne. Flappy Bird was known for being highly challenging, as the slightest graze against a pipe ended the game," according to USA Today.
However, after weeks of popularity, Flappy Bird creator Dong Ngyuen decided to take down the game from app stores because users were becoming increasingly "addicted."
"Flappy Bird has unexpected effects," Nguyen told USA Today. "It causes addiction (in) people. I think it is an unexpected problem ... and I have to remove it."
Nguyen was accused of taking down the game to "inflate the game's rankings" on the app stores, but denied the accusations to USA Today.
"I respect other people's opinions about my games," says Nguyen. "I am sure I didn't cheat anything, and I don't have to do that."
Nguyen's decision to take down the game came as a shock to users. Earlier in February, the Flappy Bird creator told The Verge he was thinking about creating a sequel to the game.
"Flappy Bird has reached a state where anything added to the game will ruin it somehow, so I'd like to leave it as is," Nguyen said. "I will think about a sequel but I'm not sure about the timeline."
Nguyen told The Verge he believed the game was downloaded about 50 million times and made about $50,000 in ad revenue a day.
