Later, the bridge was blocked to all traffic by police. Several of the videos show the fog. A number of crumbled and broken vehicles, as well as several that were piled on top of one another, were also seen in photos shot at the site. A 4x4 truck looked to be nearly completely hanging on a car below it in one photograph.

China Bridge Pileup
Following the massive crash, automobiles were observed on other drivers' roofs as rescue attempts on the Zhengxin Huanghe Bridge in Henan, China, proceeded into the morning in the fog. According to accounts, the collision may have included more than 200 vehicles, including automobiles and heavy lorries. The collision is believed to have been caused by ice road surfaces and foggy bridge conditions.
Dashcam video that was put online revealed that the area had abysmal road visibility. Passengers from the backed-up vehicles could be seen standing at the side of the road at intervals of several yards to try to wave down automobiles passing by the scene.
A number of crumbled and broken automobiles, as well as several that were piled on top of one another, were also seen in photos shot at the site. A 4x4 truck looked to be nearly completely hanging on a car below it in one photograph.
Shattered tail lights and other automobile external components could be observed on the road's surface. To connect Zhengzhou with regions to the north, particularly the close-by industrial city of Xinxiang, the Zhengxin Huanghe Bridge spans the Yellow River.
In 2018, a similar pileup caused by dense fog in Henan resulted in nine fatalities and 18 injuries. Authorities said that 28 trucks collided with one another in the collision on the Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway in Pingyu County.
According to the local meteorological office, visibility was less than 500m and 200m in various places this morning, including Zhengzhou. On Wednesday afternoon, the Zhengzhou traffic police announced on their official social media account that traffic on the flyover had resumed.
The CCTV report stated that immediate rescue measures were made following the crash. According to state media, the neighborhood fire department quickly sent 11 fire engines and 66 firefighters to the area.
A significant overpass over the Yellow River linking Zhengzhou and neighboring Xinxiang is the Zhengxin Huanghe Bridge. Because there aren't many strong safety regulations in China, traffic accidents are frequent. In September, a bus carrying 27 people to quarantine facilities in Guizhou province's southwestern part overturned on a highway, The Strait Times reported.
