A retired Indian Army tankman revealed all the armor destroyed by AFU is not actual but simulated battlefield victories to make it seem Kyiv is winning in a social media war.
Simulated Battlefield Victories Shows Abandoned Russian Tanks
Several videos of Russian armor getting devastated have discrepancies and contradictions that were pointed out by a retired Indian Army tankman, particularly the ones where customized UAVs drop simple bombs on vehicles, reported The EurAsian Times.
The T-90S is a similar variant of the MBT used by the Indian Army but is not equipped with the Shtora Active Protection System (APS). New Delhi got the tank but was not equipped with the APS, noted Defense-Update.
Special Kherson Cat (@bayraktar1love), a top Ukraine war tracker, posted a picture of a T-90S taken from the front, with the barrel blown out and lying-in front of the tank. The T-90s has been rebranded as the Bhishma in India, per Army Recognition.
Consequently, one of the pictures from the same comment stream shows a major engine hit. The chutes above the turret and the undercarriage in which the driver settles are both open, implying that the destruction to the powerplant rendered the tank inoperable and compelled the squad to escape.
The only situation in which the crew might not have sufficient time to escape is if the tank is obliterated by an artillery piece or a top-attack anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) shot above it.
In these instances, the tank's steel body is entirely charred and turns greyish. As said by Colonel Rajendra Bhaduri (retd), it is here that a few discrepancies appear.
Why Is Kyiv Demolishing Russian Abandoned Tanks?
Bhaduri highlighted the numerous videos of customized drones for use by Ukraine dropping bombs on Russian tanks as contrived.
As a bomb falls in, the hatches are accessible, and no crew tries to escape. Trying to say why the crew would leave the chutes open was strange.
Also, these commercial drones have no guidance systems and lob unguided bombs that are so crude with poorly made fins.
As previously stated, the AFU dropping these unguided bombs into a small hatch on a moving tank from a height is nearly impossible. Small arms can destroy the UAV quickly.
Nor are the tiny bombs designed to destroy a tank weighing over 50 tons. In specific videos, an explosive device is seen having failed to access the hatch, sliding backward, and touching down on the drivetrain.
Bhaduri continued stating that its explosive charge could even be lightweight at five kilograms. How will it decimate it by blowing up just above the tank engine? Ukraine annihilates disused tanks as a public affairs gimmick.
Russian Tank Crews Escape
The crew escaping is an old tactic, especially during this war, in which many of its tanks, armored vehicles, and trucks have been said to have been neglected since the beginning.
The abandoning of tanks serves two purposes. One involves the pragmatism of not fighting a losing fight and being able to afford equipment write-downs, mainly if the defense industry could handle keeping cranking out and replenishing the lost armaments.
Another purpose was revealed by President Vladimir Putin last year when he stated that "conscripted soldiers" would not be used in the war but only professional soldiers to fulfill "fixed objectives."
An Indian Tankman remarked that abandoned Russian tanks are all simulated battlefield victories staged by the AFU.
