The number of casualties from a recent Russian airstrike in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro climbed to 40 on Monday, making it the bloodiest civilian event of Moscow's three-month operation of firing missiles at towns outlying from the front.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared the rescue effort will continue "as long as there is even the slightest chance to save lives." This comes as authorities believe there is little hope for discovering any more survivors in the wreckage following the Dnipro missile attack, as reported by CNBC.
Zelensky revealed that 30 people are still missing as rescuers continue to dig through the wreckage. Dnipro city official Gennadiy Korban reported that 14 children were among the 75 injured, according to Reuters.

UK To Send Battle Tanks to Ukraine
Kyiv claims it cannot fire down the anti-ship missile that hit a Dnipro residential building on Saturday during Moscow's latest offensive in the Russia Ukraine war.
