The United States is reportedly completing arrangements to deploy around 30 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
The Biden administration might dispatch US tanks this week, per a CNN report on Tuesday. Authorities say that training soldiers to use tanks well usually takes several months, but the exact date that the US Abrams tanks will be delivered is still unknown.
One of the sources stated that the US would also deploy a several recovery vehicles to help repair US tanks on the battlefield or move tanks away from the battleground for repair and maintenance in another area.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has apparently agreed to deploy at least 14 Leopard 2 tanks. He will deliver a speech before the legislature on Wednesday, per the BBC.
A diplomatic impasse with Germany on the supply of Germany tanks to Ukraine looks to be broken by the impending announcement amid the Russia Ukraine war.

German authorities had been quite clear that they wouldn't provide their Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine unless the United States also contributed its M-1 Abrams tank, a unit that the United States has frequently criticized as being too complex and challenging to maintain.
Meanwhile, Russia's ambassador to the US called the announcement a "blatant" instigation. The alleged move by Germany would "bring nothing good" and leave a profound effect according to the Kremlin official.
In another update, the US State Department announced via a statement that the G7 and other partners would continue to help Ukraine's energy industry, including supplying hardware and basic supplies throughout winter, as the Russia Ukraine war nears a one year mark, Al Jazeera reported.
