The royal family is allegedly concerned that Prince Harry could release a second memoir after he hinted in a recent interview that he would reveal further details about his family.
The Duke of Sussex disclosed in an interview with Bryony Gordon for The Telegraph that 'Spare' was initially 800 pages long but had to be shortened to 400. He stated, "It might have been two books," and added, "The most difficult part was eliminating content."
Prince Harry Hints Second Memoir
According to royal analyst Emily Andrews, Prince Harry might gather the details he left out of 'Spare' and include them in a second memoir, especially since the pair reportedly inked a $2 million four-book contract with Penguin Random House.
In her article for the January 30 edition of Woman, she stated, "However, a forthcoming second book by Harry might prove even more devastating. Unbelievably, he claims he omitted a great deal from his earlier book, and merely mentioning emissions seemed to pose a threat to both (Prince) William and (King) Charles III."
The 38-year-old stated that he omitted incidents between himself, Prince William, and his father, King Charles III, because he did not want the public to learn about them.
He said to Gordon, "But there are certain events, particularly between my brother and me and to a lesser extent between my father and me, that I do not wish for the world to know. I believe that they would never forgive me."
Andrews asserted that Prince Harry may be compelled to share more in a second book if the royals remain silent about 'Spare' and "if money begins to run out." She added that the duke's debut novel "definitely took no prisoners."
She noted that, despite the royal family's respectful, quiet and calm demeanor, "it is evident that the family is concerned."
Prince Harry has yet to announce a second memoir. He released 'Spare' on January 10, and the royal family has yet to react publicly to its contents. Even when asked if they had read the book, Prince William and Kate Middleton ignored reporters.
In his book Spare, Prince Harry made several claims and revelations, but one appears to have been debunked. The Duke of Sussex said he asked his father, King Charles, not to marry Camilla Parker Bowles.

King Charles Still Urges Prince Harry's Presence in His Coronation
Now, a royal butler asserts that Prince Harry was "excited" about the wedding of King Charles and Camilla. Grant Harrold, who served King Charles while he was the Prince of Wales for seven years, described Camilla as a "very good listener."
He said the now-Queen Consort is "excellent at mending or attempting to solve problems." Per Entertainment Daily, Grant continued by stating how Prince Harry discussed Camilla in his book "makes no sense."
Despite these concerns, King Charles III wants Prince Harry to attend his coronation in May. The British monarch has requested Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, to help create bridges between Princes Harry and Prince William.
The connection between the two brothers could be better and has worsened since the release of Prince Harry's memoir. According to Marca, Prince William does not want Prince Harry or his wife, Meghan Markle, to attend the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
Although Prince William believes that Prince Harry's attendance may overshadow his father's coronation, King Charles thinks the outcry over the couple's absence would be huge. The source further said Prince Harry "resents being grouped alongside Andrew as the two problem princes."
A friend of the monarch said, "Charles is no less affected because he has not been the target of most of the rage and anguish in the book."
