An old video of a man's brutal assault on a 12-year-old child on Long Island, New York, resurfaced online and soon went viral, though it drew sympathy for the attacker.

Fight Haven posted the video on Twitter on Wednesday, with the caption, "12-Year-Old Tiktok prankster throws a dead snake on a woman's car and gets Eliminated by her Husband... Did the Husband go too far?"
As of this writing, the video has been seen on Twitter over three million times.

The New York incident caught on cam actually occurred in Long Island in June 2018, per various media sites.

The boy in the video, identified as Alex Anderson, said in an interview that a lady in a vehicle started capturing cellphone footage of him and three buddies while they were biking in Dix Hills on Tuesday, per NBC 4 New York.

Anderson reportedly followed his dad's advice by photographing the lady and the car's license plate.

The woman's husband, William Conte, allegedly noticed the boy filming his wife and came at him, pushing him on the ground and breaking the boy's cell phone, per River City Post.

Conte was detained and charged with criminal mischief and harassment, per CBS News.

Christian Anderson, Anderson's father, said his son had "a concussion, twisted ankle, elbow torn open," and labeled Conte a coward. However, several neighbors backed Conte, stating that violent youngsters on bikes have been a major issue in the area for weeks.

Several Long Island residents have mentioned that the local youth are notorious for playing chicken with motorists while bicycling. However, Alex Anderson disputed that he had threatened the suspect's wife while she was driving by throwing a garter snake at the vehicle.

Viral Video Draws Fresh Reactions

As the resurfaced video goes viral once again, it drew new reactions from social media users. Most of them noted that the New York prankster kid got what he deserved.

David Gokhshtein on Twitter reacted: "What do these clout chasers expect? He's lucky that this man didn't go really ape-shit on him."

Joshua Loren posted, "he wanted the clout and now he got it"

Zeyad said, "The caption should read "good samaritan teaches young teenager boundaries."
