According to sources, Britney Spears' mental health has declined to such a degree that her loved ones have had to prepare an intervention.

The pop star's recent strange Instagram posts have caused concern among her fans, and now Britney's closest friends fear that her increasingly unpredictable behavior is becoming hazardous.

Britney Spears' Substance Abuse, Mental Health Issues

On Tuesday, TMZ learned that friends of the 41-year-old 'Toxic' singer have been arranging an intervention with her. Unbelievably, a source said that Britney Spears' strange social media outbursts were caused by her consumption of "stimulating" medications.

According to the source, Britney has been "blowing off the handle" in public and private settings. Britney Spears has allegedly stopped taking the meds that assist in regulating her mood, and a source told TMZ that they are "terrified" she may die.

They said that her management had hired a residence in Los Angeles for many months, where they intended to take Britney to meet her husband, Sam Asghari, an interventionist, and physician.

According to reports, however, Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn and her two boys were not included in the plan. According to the insider, they anticipated Britney Spears would remain at the residence for two months to recuperate via psychiatric therapy and medical care.

Britney Spears' "partially aware" of the problem caused the intervention to be postponed from Tuesday, February 7, to a later date. A source informed Page Six that the intervention was judged "unnecessary" and never occurred.

According to insiders, Britney did agree to see a physician and had an appointment on Wednesday. Those close to the pop princess asserted that the meeting "went well."

Singer's 'Erratic' Behavior

In recent months, Britney Spears has sparked worry with her erratic social media posts and dubious public behavior. One month ago, she had observed dining at a restaurant near her house when witnesses reported she was "acting irrationally."

Additionally, in January, Ventura County Sheriff's Department deputies came to Britney's Thousand Oaks, California residence to do a welfare check. The 41-year-Instagram old's account was disabled, and she had vanished, causing concern among her admirers.

A few days later, though, Britney Spears lashed out at her fans, dismissing their expressions of worry as a bad prank. The news comes nearly two weeks after Spears issued a public plea for her followers to respect her privacy following a month-long wellness check at her home.

Spears, who was in Target on Wednesday trying for clothes with Sam, termed the act a breach of her privacy and a boundary she urged fans not to cross again, as per ET Online. The police were asked to do a welfare check on the pop diva at the end of last month, prompting fresh worries. Concerned followers called the police to inquire about her well-being after she deleted her Instagram account.

A week previous to the January welfare check, Spears stated she had changed her name to River Red and projected a supposedly upbeat picture of being released from the restrictions of her father's conservatorship until 2021. The singer was seen "saying gibberish" as fans attempted to photograph her dining with Sam at the JOEY restaurant in Woodland Hills on Friday before he seemed to storm out.
