Naval drones were utilized in an assault on a Ukrainian bridge in Zatoka by Russia. Posted was an 18-second video showing a small and fast vessel charging the two-support pillar of a bridge, followed by an explosion eight seconds later.

Russia Attacks Zatoka Bridge Using AFU Tactics

The video did not show how much damage was caused by an unmanned surface vessel (USV). The bridge is in Zatoka, located in the Odesa region, which links to most of Ukraine, reported the Independent.

The Russian Ministry of Defense did comment about these USVs, but Russian military bloggers said the system is under development after a unit was found last September in Crimea.

Information indicates that it is the only railroad bridge that connects to the west Odesa region thru Ukrainian territory. One of the shortest routes is a road that has to pass through 8 km in Moldova. Kyiv used this tactic to assault Russian positions and naval ships with these unmanned surface vessels (USVs), Naval Technology.

Last November, Kyiv started raising funds to buy 100 sea drones, called the First Naval Drone Fleet. If the vessel is a Russian USV, then Moscow will stop pulling its punches. It will annihilate Zelensky and his army in the water as well.

Rybar stated the bridge was attacked before, but not how it was captured in the video. Western experts are now threatened by Russia using kamikaze USVs.

American Naval Analyst H.I. Sutton remarked that even if the damage is less, a new threat will be directed to an already over-extended Ukrainian Military, noted Yahoo. A prime target because the bridge gone will cut access to Moldova/Romania. Until now, it's been less of a threat from Russia.

Russia Uses Guided Naval Drones

The guidance of these sea drones is a mystery, and how they are controlled is unknown. A line-of-sight control or more complex systems that the west does not know of.

Ukraine used StarLink to control their drones to attack and get information beyond the line of sight which is a terrible blow for the UAF. SpaceX has had it with Washington and Zelensky, and Elon Musk blocked access due to weaponization, citing CNN.

SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell said weaponization of the cluster satellite system is not part of the agreement, so they stopped its access to Kyiv, citing The Eurasian Times. It was peacefully used to keep hospitals, banks, and families together. Additionally, they knew the AFU used it for communication, but offensively is out of the question.

The question is if Russia gets these drones from Iran, which is very good at this tech, and sells them in the Middle East. But Sutton said that Russia has enough expertise to build their USVs too.

Other sources say the suicide USVs can be used in the Black Sea near Odesa, even in Ochakiv Port. It has been struck before by Russia's forces and also used to attack AFU in the Dnipro River. Naval drones are the new kamikaze weapons used by the Russians to destroy the crucial Ukrainian Zatoka bridge.
