An Idaho murder survivor says she saw Bryan Kohberger but mistook him for Ethan Chapin's pal that night. Dylan Mortensen revealed she was a new occupant in the house and never thought the suspect was there to kill the victims.

Idaho Murder Survivor Claims Seeing Bryan Kohberger

The suspected killer, Kohberger, was arrested on December 30 for killing the four Idaho university students in off-campus housing. On the night of the murder, Kohberger entered the rooms with four of the victims inside, where Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen were spared from death, reported Meaww.

The disclosure prompted web sleuths to ask why Mortensen didn't call 911 when she saw Kohberger prowling at 4 am, noted Daily Mail. A source claimed that Mortensen spoke to her close friends.

The Idaho university students named Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves were slaughtered in their beds on November 13. On the upper third floor, best friends Goncalves and Mogen died, Ethan dead in the doorway, while his girlfriend Xana died trying to save herself on the second floor, but Funke and Mortensen stayed on the first floor.

Mortensen Thought Kohberger Was Ethan Chapin's Pal

An anonymous source close to Mortensen revealed something else about the case based on a video posted on Youtube by Harsh Reality.

It narrated that Mortensen was not shocked or frozen in fear; she yelled from her door to Ethan and Xana to keep quiet with their friend inside the house. She did not know what was transpiring and kept to herself mostly.

Kohberger was seen by her and assumed that he was one of Ethan's friends who was about to leave the house and ready to go out. She claimed that the feds were harsh with her and aggressive in their interrogation.

Police officer Brett Payne states in an affidavit as the first respondents on the scene, Mortensen and Funke, called DM and BF in federal papers, were in the house as the others were killed in their rooms on the night of the murders.

Dylan stated that she was sleeping in the bedroom located on the southeast section of the second floor. At about 4 am, she was awoken by sounds like Kaylee playing with her pet in the room on the upper floor.

A while later, Mortensen mentioned that she thought Kaylee said someone was there. Payne stated that DM opened her door another time, and she heard crying from Xana's room. DM added that she thought she heard a male voice saying, "It's okay. I'm going to help you."

But Mortensen thought her housemates were kidding and the noises were because they were still partying, not getting killed, citing Newsweek. As the killer did his rounds and was even seen, the victims got loud, but DM did not think of a murder going on.

BF and DM were aware of the sounds that night at 4 am but could not imagine it was the last time they would hear their housemates alive.

Bryan Kohberger was alleged by an Idaho murder survivor Dylan Mortensen as Chapin's pal that night but survived with Bethany Funke while the four got murdered.
