Tiger Woods gets ready for his first PGA Tour non-major since the 2020 Zozo Championship. While doing so, the legendary golf athlete praised LeBron James for his longevity during his 20-year NBA career, which allowed the Lakers superstar to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record for most points scored by a player in NBA history.
During the third quarter of the Lakers' home game against the Thunder on Tuesday, LeBron James, 38, surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's previous record of 38,387 points. However, Los Angeles lost the game, per a previous HNGN report.
Tiger Woods, a Lakers fan, praised LeBron James for his "endurance, consistency, and longevity" in the latter's latest milestone, per the Golf Channel.

Tiger Woods Set To Make Golf History
The 47-year-old Tiger Woods was also asked by the media to compare the NBA scoring record to the golf record. He said that it may be compared to Sam Snead's record of 82 wins, per Clutch Points.
"It takes a career to get to those numbers. That's how I think probably best how you look at it," Tiger Woods remarked.
A native of California, Tiger Woods has always cheered for the Lakers, especially during the "Showtime Era." Every night he would tune in to NBA coverage and see legends like Kareem, Magic Johnson, and others rule the court. Also, he had always thought that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA scoring record couldn't be broken, according to CBS Sports.
Since winning The Open Championship in July of last year, Woods will compete in his first rounds of golf. Woods will hold the record for the most PGA Tour victories with 83 if he can add one more victory to his career.
