US President Joe Biden will visit NATO's eastern flank leaders on Wednesday to bolster their security, as Russian President Vladimir Putin suspends a historic nuclear weapons restriction agreement as the Russia-Ukraine war turns one year.
Biden will meet with Warsaw embassy personnel on Wednesday before meeting with leaders of the Bucharest Nine, NATO's eastern flank nations that joined after being ruled by Russia during the Cold War, according to Reuters.
The majority of Bucharest Nine, which includes Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, are staunch backers of Ukraine's request for military assistance, and politicians from several of them have asked for even more help, including systems for air defense.
Before returning to Washington, Joe Biden aims to reiterate security pledges and address Ukrainian support during the conference.
A day after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, President Joe Biden traveled to Warsaw, Poland on Monday.

Joe Biden's Visit Indicates a Significant Political Signal
Moldovan President Maia Sandu met with President Joe Biden on Tuesday in Warsaw. Sandu made headlines last week when she accused Russia of plotting to destabilize her administration by dispatching foreign saboteurs, as per an AP News report.
Polish President Andrzej Sebastian Duda remarked that the Joe Biden visit delivered "an extremely important political signal," particularly for Ukraine, according to the BBC.
On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the West over Ukraine by suspending a landmark nuclear arms control pact with the US and threatening to resume its nuclear weapons testing, per a previous HNGN report.
Vladimir Putin also blamed the expansion of NATO and the deployment of new European anti-rocket defense systems for sparking the Russia-Ukraine war.
