Anthony Ciccone, the eldest sibling of Madonna, passed away at the age of 66 on Friday evening.
Joe Henry, the brother-in-law of Ciccone, confirmed his death on Instagram on Saturday. Henry is married to Melanie Ciccone, Madonna's younger sister.

Henry said in the post that Anthony Ciccone had a complex life and had deep links to his family. Anthony Ciccone was born in Rochester, Michigan, on May 3, 1956.
Per USA Today, he is the eldest child of Madonna and Silvio Ciccone. Madonna, his younger sister, achieved worldwide renown as a singer, songwriter, and actor.
Henry concluded his eulogy with a farewell message to Ciccone as his family mourned his passing. According to public records, Ciccone most recently resided in Michigan, where he and his seven siblings were raised.
In recent years, national news outlets claimed that Ciccone had lived on the streets and in a rehabilitation center.
Henry's statement announcing Ciccone's death alluded to adversity by stating that "trouble disappears," family endures, and "hands are extended across the table." Madonna liked the Instagram image, however she did not provide a remark.
In 2017, Anthony Ciccone was reunited with his family, according to Christopher, Madonna's other brother. Christopher had previously mentioned a disagreement with his sister in 2008, taking issue with her alleged refusal to assist their dying grandmother. Christopher was launching his book 'Life with My Sister Madonna' at the time.

One of the cops attempted to apprehend him on a warrant for trespass. Nonetheless, he reportedly confronted the officer, causing his face to strike the ground, resulting in nine stitches. CBS reports that Anthony Ciccone's blood alcohol content was 0.40, whereas the legal limit for driving is 0.08.
