Florida Student Brutally Attacks Teacher's Aide

After the February 21 incident in Palm Coast, the 17-year-old was arrested and sent to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Correctional Center. According to the press release, he was turned over to the state Department of Juvenile Justice. According to an arrest record, the adolescent said he would "beat her up" every time an employee took away his Nintendo Switch gadget.

The student, who the sheriff's office estimates to be 6 feet 6 inches tall and 270 pounds, is shown on surveillance camera sprinting towards the staffer and knocking her to the ground. The employee seems immobile as the student repeatedly punches and kicks her before bystanders take him away from her, as per WLWT.

The worker was sent to a local hospital for treatment. According to the arrest record, the adolescent "became aggressive" after the event and had to be transported to another place.

"Building a secure atmosphere for studying and working on our campuses is crucial. Violence is never an acceptable response," Superintendent of Flagler County Schools Cathy Mittelstadt stated in a press statement.

On Saturday, Flagler County Schools announced that, out of respect for their employee's privacy, they would not comment on her current medical condition. According to deputies, the kid kicked and struck the paraprofessional "several times" after she became unconscious, and other students rushed to her aid. The sufferer was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The suspect may be heard yelling "f-k you" to one of the deputies at one point. Sheriff Rick Staly of Flagler County stated that the student's conduct were inappropriate, Fox News reported.

The student with special needs started kicking her instantly before crouching and punching her in the head and chest. Another lady approaches the student and grabs his arm, but she is unable to get him from the assistant before many others arrive to remove him off her.

Even when they manage to get him to the ground, he continues to strike her with his leg. When he battled against them, it took five staff members to restrain and haul him away from her body.

The student was detained, transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Center, and then turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice. In Florida, he was charged with Felony Aggravated Battery with Bodily Harm, which carries a maximum sentence of five years, according to Daily Mail.

After the incident, the Flagler School Board stated during a meeting that they had made it a "top priority" to review policies to "assist with this." The teaching assistant has been employed by the school system since 2004 and began working at Matanzas in 2021.
