Russia has started the automated attack systems by unleashing combat robots on the Ukrainian battlefield as a headstart in the Russian offensive. The special operation gets a twist with Russian combat robots joining the fray on the Ukrainian battlefield.

Russian Deploys Combat Robots in Ukraine

AFU forces have been hard to eject from their positions which are made easy by utilizing drones of all types. These unmanned fighting units are changing how war is fought, and the west is seeing a well-equipped force that western forces will not underestimate, reported Eurasian Times.

Dealing with providing and equipping field guns and rocket batteries, drones like the Lancet-3 are used to demolish Ukrainian guns fast, states Army Recognition.

Both sides have recorded high attrition rates, but Russia is deploying unmanned ground vehicles or UGV, per Army Technology. These combat systems turn the tide with those equipped with them. One example is the PMC Wagner mercs that took Bakmut and Soledar inch by inch in bloody urban warfare.

Innovations like domestically produced Marker UGV were developed to overwhelm the US Abrams and Leopard MBTs in battle. The first units are already in the front early this month, according to an earlier HNGN report.

Ex-head of Roscosmos space agency, Dmitry Rogozin, is willing to fight in the offensive. He added these systems would destroy the first NATO tanks in Ukraine during its Fiery Baptismal.

One video has two UGVs allegedly built by Russian soldiers fighting in the Kupiansk in northeast Ukraine. About 50,000 infantry is duking it out with the AFU.

These autonomous combat platforms are involved in the fighting close to Svatov and assist infantry forces. It's on the LPR border and Kharkiv where intense fighting had inflicted many casualties in the AFU located at the Svatove-Kreminna axis.

Russian Uses Unmanned Ground Vehicles

One unit has eight wheels with two attached trailers that houses the generator, while the other mounts dual 7.62 mm PKT machine guns. It could be the generator powers the component of the UGV.

In addition to the main generator that includes motors installed in each wheel seen in the video. Or the primary power plant is the one that gives power to wheel motors and the gun assembly. Seen is the unit with a soldier with a control console fixing the magazine and belt feed for the gun. Also, the guns would fire sporadically as the unit was demoed.

Another UGV is less noisy with rechargeable batteries so that it can surprise and eliminate AFU silently, same arrangement as the first with a second trailer housing the generator. Stealth modes are allowed with the built-in battery, unlike the first. But it only has one NSVT 12.7 mm machine gun, claimed to be for harassing NATO APCs or IFVs.

One post in Telegram is the camera sensor sends images to the control though none is on the UGV. A bomb prevents capture by NATO or AFU from getting the tech to scuttle it.

These UGVs are functional and capable of suppressing fire or attacking frontally, which would be suicide for infantry. Friendly troops can use the cover to outflank defenders and demolish them. But no camera needs the operator to see the unit and target but exposes it dangerously.

The rise of Russian combat robots that allow new tactics on the Ukrainian battlefield will be seen in the coming days.
