Steph Curry, who has been out for quite some time with a leg injury, is expected to make his return to action on Sunday when the Golden State Warriors begin a three-game road trip in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
On Thursday night, as the Warriors were playing the Los Angeles Clippers, national reporter Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and TNT made the announcement, per the Golden State of Mind.
The 34-year-old sharpshooter has been out since February 4 due to a partial rupture of his superior tibiofibular ligaments, a tear of his interosseous membrane, and a contusion of his left lower leg.
Even though Steph Curry hasn't played in a month, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr doesn't think his conditioning will be a problem.
"He's been working really hard," Steve Kerr noted, per NBC Sports.
Warriors Escape Play-In Tournament
After injuring himself in a victory against the Dallas Mavericks on February 4, Steph Curry has been out of action for a whole month. On Friday, the Warriors will play host to the New Orleans Pelicans, making Curry's absence from the floor 11 games.
Despite Steph Curry injury, the Golden Warriors have held their own and avoided the play-in tournament.
Throughout February, the Warriors went 5-4 without Steph Curry, per ESPN. On Thursday, they beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 115-91.
On Sunday, the Golden State Warriors will play the first NBA game of their road trip against the LA Lakers.
The next week, they'll face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday and the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
