A father of five from Georgia who went missing during a business trip to Louisiana has been discovered dead, wrapped in plastic and rolled in a carpet.

WBRZ reported that the corpse of Nathan Millard, 42, was discovered in an empty lot in Baton Rouge at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, approximately three miles from the Happy Irish Pub.

Missing Nathan Miller Found Dead in Louisiana

According to Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch, a non-profit search-and-recovery company, a passerby smelled a terrible odor from the parking lot and phoned 911. The police discovered Millard's wrapped and hidden body. Nathan Miller of Covington traveled to Baton Rouge on February 23 to scout a potential project site for his Conyers-based firm, Advanced Construction, and then went to a pub with a customer.

According to sources, pub personnel cut him off because he had had too much alcohol. He departed alone at 11:30 p.m. to return to his neighboring hotel, the Courtyard Marriott. The client contacted the police and requested a welfare check at 9 a.m. when Millard failed to appear or answer messages.

Amber, Millard's wife, reported that his phone and wallet were discovered on the ground several streets away. A homeless guy captured on film attempting to use Millard's credit card at a Baton Rouge bus terminal was questioned by police but subsequently released.

Amber's last conversation with her husband occurred when he FaceTimed her to show her the Louisiana State University basketball tickets he and the client got. After the game, he was last seen on security footage in a tavern. Millard leaves behind his wife, two teenagers from a previous marriage, two teenagers from his second marriage, and a seven-year-old daughter. Landyn Millard, his eldest son, stated before the body's discovery that he desired "closure."

Authorities have yet to ascertain the cause of Nathan Milliard's death. Baton Rouge Police have posted on Facebook that an autopsy is being conducted. Still claims that Baton Rouge police gave Millard's wife a video of someone using Millard's credit card and informed her that the card had been used numerous times since Miller's disappearance.

Per WIO News, the police stated that they were investigating the incident as a murder. Millard was the father of four adolescent boys and a seven-year-old girl. He was on a business trip searching for possible contract locations for his Conyers, Georgia-based company, Advanced Construction.

Man Details Discovery of Missing Georgia Man's Remains

The one who discovered Millard was traveling north of Baton Rouge when he decided to investigate the source of the odor. The man approached the abandoned property with carports and exited his vehicle with a flashlight to investigate. He informed UWK that he discovered the carpet beneath a carport then.

Reportedly, Millard's remains were recovered, rolled up in a carpet, and wrapped in plastic. Officials stated that just his fingertips allowed them to identify his decaying remains. Last Monday, Texas EquuSearch, a non-profit organization committed to locating missing persons, began searching for Nathan Milliard and offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his whereabouts.

A representative for the group told 11Alive that a passerby phoned police to report a terrible stench emanating from the vacant site. His wife, Amber, had stated that the father of five from Walton County, Georgia, had flown to Baton Rouge for a 24-hour work trip.

Following Milliard's disappearance, his phone was located near his hotel, and his debit card was used. Millard and his business customer were captured on security film leaving the Courtyard Marriott where they stayed that night.

Amber said that police told her they had security footage of a person taking cash from an ATM near a Greyhound bus stop using a debit card. The police stated that an investigation was continuing. No arrests have been made, as per Daily Mail.
