Paul George, a shooting guard for the Los Angeles Clippers, will be out for the playoff push due to an injury.
"PG-13" will be out for two to three weeks due to an injured right knee. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski noted that Paul George is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season due to his extended absence, per an NBA report.
If George is reevaluated, a comeback date for the playoffs will become more certain, the sports journalist added on Paul George injury update.
The LA Clippers were playing against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night when the injury occurred, resulting in a 101-100 loss for LA, per an earlier HNGN report.
The star forward went down with 4:38 remaining after taking an unintentional blow from Luguentz Dort. George lay on the floor and writhed in agony for many minutes after he severely twisted his leg. After injuring his right leg, PG-13 was helped by two trainers to the locker room.
Paul George, a six-time NBA All-Star, acknowledged the outpouring of support for him by taking to Twitter to thank his followers, per Basketball Forever.
"Appreciate y'all," Paul George twitted on Thursday.

The LA Clippers had won five of their previous six games before losing by one point on Tuesday; they'll need to keep winning to avoid the play-in round.
