The former president kicked off his Texas rally by having a reworked version of the national anthem sung by incarcerated inmates over their involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill riot.

Trump also pitched himself as fighting what he called the "final battle" as his alleged enemies were desperately trying to stop him and his allies. Furthermore, he dismissed the several ongoing investigations that target him, some for criminal charges, as per The Hill.

On Sunday, Brazile made remarks that made her the latest in a group of voices that have condemned the former president for his alleged attempts to urge his supporters to "protest." The former DNC acting chair said the situation was "despicable" and argued that Trump is a leading front-runner in the GOP primary.

Brazile said there was no place for what Trump was doing in America, which she called political violence. Her remarks come as Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, condemned the former president on Friday for saying that criminal charges against him would result in "potential death and destruction."

In a statement during a press briefing held in the Capitol, Jeffries said that Trump, who has been impeached twice, continues his reckless, reprehensible, and irresponsible rhetoric. He argued that it was dangerous and would, later down the line, get somebody killed.

Repeating Debunked Claims

During his Texas rally, the former president railed against his political opponents and law enforcement, who he said were even more dangerous than China and Russia. According to Yahoo News, he also targeted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is leading an investigation against the former president.

This probe is regarding a hush money payment worth $130,000 allegedly paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The funds were considered a sort of bribe to keep Daniels quiet about her alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

Trump also repeated his claims that he won the 2020 presidential election against Joe Biden, calling the race "rigged." However, despite his remarks, investigations into the election showed no evidence of fraud and only reiterated his Democratic rival's victory.

The Republican businessman also made claims regarding his contributions to addressing a trade deficit with China worth roughly $500 billion. However, CNN said there was never a US trade deficit with China that would be hundreds of billions of dollars.
