Beyoncé debuted a slimmer, toned figure during the 2014 Grammy Awards when she opened the show with husband Jay Z, who also looked like he lost a few pounds. Now, the couple's personal trainer is revealing the couple's fitness secrets to E! News.
Right after the Grammys, the singer's white dress designer Michael Costello revealed her measurements to E! News.
"It was incredible! We didn't have any of her sizes or measurements," Costello told E! News. "The dress was just made to fit a sample mannequin. It's smaller than a size 4. She is tiny! That dress is at least a 2/4. She looks amazing. I just love the way it all came together. Ty [Bey's stylist] knew it was going to fit."
The comments sparked interested in Beyoncé's fitness routine, and the "Drunk In Love" singer's personal trainer, Marco Borges, recently explained the couple's decision to lead a vegan lifestyle has led them to a healthier physique.
"[Beyoncé] is all about health and wellness," the trainer told E! News. "She just wants to feel good."
Borges was the one who got the couple into the 22 Days of Nutrition diet. The diet isn't about eliminating food groups, but rather having a mostly plant-based diet to get the nutrients the body needs to function.
The trainer told E! News Beyoncé has swapped other meats with fish more often and likes his he 22Days Nutrition bars with bananas as a snack.
"The transition [from vegan] was fairly easy, because [now] she's sticking to a mostly plant-based diet with some fish here and there," Borges said.
Bey and her hubby will also work out together whenever they can.
"They're like every other couple, they love spending time together, they'll work out together whenever its possible, whenever their touring schedules allow," the trainer revealed. "They'll absolutely jump in the gym together whenever they can, she'll be running and he'll be on a bike, or she'll be jumping rope and he'll be running."
In order to get Beyoncé's round, firm booty, the trainer says told E! News "body-weight squats, lunges and pliés, along with plyometric exercises and sprint intervals" are needed.
