Monday, Apr. 10 - A shooter opened fire using an AR-15-style rifle, killing four civilians and leaving eight wounded, including one Kentucky officer in critical condition. According to authorities, the shooter who died at the scene was believed to be a "lone gunman" and a former bank employee.

One police officer was sent to the hospital after the shooting and is now in critical condition. About nine patients were sent to The University of Louisville Hospital. Three of them have been released from the hospital, a spokesperson confirmed.
Hospital officers, along with the Louisville mayor and Louisville Metro Police, will hold a press briefing today at 3:00 p.m.
Kentucky Shooting Timeline
According to a report from Fox News, the shooter arrived at the Old Bank National building on East Main Street in Louisville at 8:30 a.m.
A civilian who was on the scene was able to call her husband and instructed him to call the authorities. Caleb Goodlett, whose wife is a bank worker, called him from inside a vault. He called the police, and the dispatcher confirmed that officers were already on the way.
At 9:30 a.m., FBI in Louisville announced that special agents were sent to assist local police in connection with the shooting. At 10:38 a.m., Louisville authorities confirmed through Twitter that the gunman died on the scene.
