Pizza Hut Manager in West Virginia Fired For Urinating in Restaurant's Kitchen Sink (VIDEO)

The district manager of a West Virginia Pizza Hut was fired after he was caught on video urinating in one of the restaurant's kitchen sinks.

Health officials in Mingo County temporarily closed the Kermit, W. Va. Location, after they viewed the security footage of the employee peeing in the back metal sink.

According to local station WYMT, some members of the community said they were shocked by the man's actions, while others swore they'd never step foot on the unsanitary premises again.

Pizza Hut officials from the company's corporate offices told WYMT that the man had been fired from his position as district manager.

A report submitted by the Mingo County Health Department shows the store did, indeed, shut down temporarily. The restaurant was reportedly closed because of an environment that presented a "substantial hazard to the public health."

Officials said they might open the restaurant back up in a few days, but it could take as much as a few weeks before the ovens are fired up once more, pending an investigation.

This isn't the first time in recent past that a restaurant employee has faced disciplinary action for sullying the kitchen.

A Taco Bell employee was fired from his post, after a photo of him licking a stack of taco shells went viral.

Last year, a Wendy's employee posted a photo of himself standing underneath a Frosty machine, his mouth open wide underneath the spigot to catch the creamy dessert. The fast food chain immediately reacted once officials caught wind of the picture, and posted a notice on Twitter.

"Unacceptable. The person in this photo is no longer at this Wendy's," the company wrote at the time. "We will be reinforcing proper procedures."
