Texas Man Kills 5 Neighbors

On Sunday, more than 200 law enforcement officers in Texas searched for a man accused of killing five neighbors in Cleveland, Texas after being requested to cease firing a semiautomatic rifle.

Francisco Oropesa, 38, is accused of opening fire on neighbors after being asked to cease firing an AR-15-style rifle late Friday night because it was keeping a sleeping infant conscious. Among the victims is an 8-year-old child.

Per Reuters, FBI Houston Special Agent in Charge James Smith told reporters, "At this time, we have no leads."

Over 200 law enforcement officers are going door-to-door in San Jacinto County, according to Sheriff Greg Capers. They are searching for the suspect or any information that could lead them to him. Officials are offering a $80,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the suspect.

Capers stated that police had previously responded to the suspect's residence on multiple occasions due to complaints about gunshot in his backyard.

The victims were identified as Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25; Diana Velazquez Alvarado, 21; Julisa Molina Rivera, 31; Jose Jonathan Casarez, 18; and Daniel Enrique Laso, 8. According to the FBI, they were not members of a single family despite residing in the same residence.

Wisconsin Shooter Sentenced to 5 Years

According to reports, a man from Washington County, Wisconsin, who pleaded no contest to discharging a shotgun at a food delivery person in February 2022, was sentenced to five years in prison and the same amount of extended supervision.

John Norman, 33, entered into a plea agreement in January, pleading no contest to first-degree recklessly jeopardizing safety. As part of the agreement, the felony parole jumping allegation against Norman was dropped, as per Fox News.

On February 16, 2022, the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to allegations that a customer fired at a DoorDash employee who was delivering pizza.

An investigation revealed that Norman ordered pizza via DoorDash, and when the courier arrived with the food, the suspect discharged a shotgun explosion through the door. Norman told investigators he ordered the pizza and discharged the shotgun inadvertently when the 46-year-old female West Bend delivery driver arrived.

According to court documents, Norman was out on bond for a 2021 incident involving second-degree recklessly endangering safety
