Jamie Foxx's health status remains confidential, but sources say he is still hospitalized for over three weeks since his daughter Corrine announced that he suffered a "medical complication."

And as such, close friends of the Oscar-winning actor have asked the public for prayers for Foxx.

Jamie Foxx Health Update: Still Hospitalized After Three Weeks

According to Marca.com, the award-winning actor has been staying in the hospital since April 11 after figuring in a "medical complication." The hospitalization of Foxx is a massive surprise for fans as he was still seen shooting for his upcoming Netflix film a day before his daughter announced an update on the health of her father.

Although Foxx has been in the hospital for more than three weeks, the health condition of the Academy Award-Winning actor is still kept classified. His close friends and family only ask for prayers for the actor-comedian.

One of the closest buddies of Foxx, Charles Alston, recently posted on Instagram asking everyone for their prayers. Alston, also popularly known as Charlie Mack, says, "We all [cannot] wait to receive you back home to celebrate, laugh with, and applaud you."

Nick Cannon Says He's Doing So Much Better

On April 23, Entertainment Tonight reported that Nick Cannon shared a health update about the current medical condition of Foxx. The American TV host says that the Oscar-winning actor is "doing so much better," adding that he is doing a favor for his friends amid his "complication." However, he did not disclose details about it.

Furthermore, Cannon assures everyone that Foxx is not only "awake," but he is also "alert."

As per TMZ, the current medication condition of Foxx has already affected the production of one of his shows. Before getting hospitalized, he was about to host "Beat Shazam," an interactive music game show.

But given the situation, TMZ reports that its sources disclose that Foxx will no longer be part of the new season of "Beat Shazam." And apart from him, his daughter Corinne, who sits as one of its DJs, will skip the upcoming season as well. Her absence comes as she is reportedly staying at the hospital with her father.

On the other hand, the upcoming Netflix film of Foxx, "Back in Action," continued its production as they turned to a body double while the actor was still on the mend.

Jamie Foxx's Medical Complication

The 29-year-old daughter of the Oscar-winner, Corinne, publicly confirmed that his father was hospitalized over an undisclosed medical complication in an Instagram post last April.

In her IG update, she assured fans of her father that Foxx is already on his way to recovery. She also asked for the privacy of their family in the meantime.
