As per a report by Fox Carolina, the famous High School Summer Pass program of Planet Fitness is back at it again, encouraging teenagers to have a healthy body this summer.

For its third year, the summer pass program will kick off at roughly 2,400 locations of the giant fitness chain in the US and Canada in the middle of May. To be more precise, the free gym offering kicks off on May 15. Eligible teenagers have several more weeks to be in shape as the free membership lasts until August 31.

Fox Carolina notes that the World Health Organization or WHO reiterates that active lifestyles for teens are crucial for their general health.

The Geneva-based organization says children 17 years old and below must partake in moderate to intense physical activity daily for roughly 60 minutes or an hour. Doing so should help improve not only their physical health but their mental well-being as well.

The program follows some simple requirements to prevent everyone from storming the fitness centers across the US and Canada. Not to mention the registration could be done physically or online.

According to Life Hacker, the High School Summer Pass program is open to all 14 to 19 years old teens. To be part of the free membership offering, young folks only have to pre-register before getting their hands on the free-of-charge gym sessions.

However, teens younger than 18 must present a waiver signed by their parents to sign up. But once that is out, they could proceed to avail of the free services without any guardian or parent accompanying them. In other words, Planet Fitness only requires a waiver during registration.

Once the registration is done, customers are required to download the Planet Fitness app on their mobile devices. It should serve as their pass to access the fitness facilities for free.

WSLS.com highlights that users should be careful where they pre-register since the free membership will only be eligible on where they signed up. These youngsters may not jump from one Planet Fitness location to another to avail themselves of the High School Summer Pass program.
