In Hesperia, a frightening incident was captured on security video as a baby stroller with a child inside began rolling backward toward busy traffic.
A woman is seen in the footage emptying her SUV as her baby stroller rolls away in front of the A1 Hand Car Wash. She stumbles twice while attempting to stop the stroller, KTLA 5 reported.
A quick-thinking stranger runs in and snatches the stroller just in time, pulling it back up the driveway as the stroller approaches oncoming traffic. The guy who saved the day hugs the lady and assists her in standing up.
Ron Nessman saw the lady attempting in vain to stop the stroller from approaching the busy roadway. He said that the lady was unable to do anything else since her whole attention was on the stroller.
When he saw the woman fall, the good Samaritan, who was standing outside the car wash, reacted instantly and ran towards the stroller.
The event happened at approximately 3:00 pm on a windy day, with visible debris swirling around the stroller as it drifted toward the road, according to Fox News.
Hero of The Day Was a Homeless, Heartbroken Man
Ron Nessman said that he could understand the woman's anxiety. He disclosed that his girlfriend "unexpectedly died" in 2018, which left him brokenhearted, according to KHOU 11.
"I became homeless after that," Nessman said.
He had recently moved to the area to reconnect with his family and had just finished a job interview when the incident happened.
Fortunately, the baby in the stroller was unharmed, and Ron Nessman was able to save the day.
According to reports, the lady appreciated Nessman's assistance, and the former truck driver is now optimistic that he will soon find employment.
