US Mass Shootings Getting Worse

A USA Today/AP study indicated one mass murder happens in the US every 6.53 days, on average.
In a recent event, a home party in California ended with a drive-by gunshot that left a 17-year-old girl dead and five other people wounded.
Other incidents this year include a shooting at an elementary school in Nashville, a shooting at a workplace in Northern California, a shooting at a dance hall outside of Los Angeles during Lunar New Year celebrations, a shooting at a Sweet 16 celebration in Dadeville, Alabama, which left four dead and 32 injured, and a shooting
in Bowdoin, Maine, where a released prisoner shot and killed four people, including his parents, before shooting at oncoming traffic on a major freeway.
Numerous factors contribute to the violence, such as marital abuse, gang retaliation, murder-suicides, school shootings, and workplace vendettas, all of which result in the simultaneous deaths of four or more people.
