Jamie Foxx has been "out of the hospital for weeks" after suffering a medical complication weeks ago, the daughter of the actor, Corinne Foxx, confirms on Friday.
Reports have suggested otherwise, claiming that the health of the Academy Award-Winning actor has worsened since his hospitalization last April.
Jamie Foxx Health Update
As per a report by NBC News, the acclaimed actor's daughter, Corinne, took to Instagram to end speculations surrounding her father's health. The condition of the Oscar-winning star has been the center of concern and speculation since he was hospitalized several weeks ago.
Before giving an update on the health of Foxx, his daughter addressed the media frenzy surrounding her father's health. According to The Guardian, some reports online claimed that the 55-year-old actor is suffering from a worsening condition, triggering concern from his fans. In response to these worrying reports, Corrine says it is "sad to see how the media runs wild."
The 29-year-old daughter of the acclaimed actor then proceeded to clarify that his father is now doing better. In her post, she revealed that her "Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks." She also disclosed that her father is already recuperating or recovering from his undisclosed medical complication.
She says that the Oscar-winning actor is back dabbling in his sporting hobbies. Corrine shares, "He was playing pickleball yesterday!"
Besides enjoying some physical activity, Foxx will be back to business soon. His daughter unveiled that the renowned actor has an "exciting work announcement."
Jamie Foxx Medical Complication: Here's What We Know
The actor's daughter was the one who announced that her father had been hospitalized last month, E! News reports. Last April 12, Corinne posted a statement on Instagram to share that the award-winning actor "experienced a medical complication."
But during that time, she assured everyone, especially the fan of the actor, that his father was already "on his way to recovery." She then asked for their family's privacy, failing to disclose her father's condition. Until now, the medical complication of Foxx remains clandestine.
NBC News notes that a representative of Foxx disclosed that the condition of the actor is pretty serious, which compelled some of his family members to go to town to visit him in the hospital.
When the actor's daughter announced her father's hospitalization, Foxx was filming an upcoming Netflix movie entitled "Back in Action" together with his co-star Cameron Diaz. The action-comedy film continued its production by using body doubles and stand-ins instead of the actor.
Due to his hospitalization, his game show Beat Shazam had to replace him with Nick Cannon as the main host.
