Jonathan Turley, a legal analyst, cautioned on Sunday that Hunter Biden's legal situation could become "much worse" if witnesses testify in his pending child support case.
Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, is in court seeking a reduction in the monthly child support payments he sends to Lunden Roberts, a former Washington, DC employee who gave birth to his daughter, Navy, in 2018.
Hunter Biden Child Support Case
A 2019 DNA test confirmed that Hunter Biden is the father of a child with whom he has had no contact. The president's son stated that he paid Roberts the agreed-upon quantity of $20,000 per month.
However, the Arkansas judge supervising the case, Judge Holly Meyer, ordered him to appear for a sworn deposition to address questions regarding his financial resources earlier this month.
This would include income from his various investments, commercial transactions, and original painting sales. In a blog post on his website, Turley cited a Free Beacon article from Wednesday that stated Roberts intends to summon Hunter Biden's business associates and the art dealer who sold his paintings as witnesses if the case goes to trial.
Elie Honig, a former US assistant attorney and CNN legal analyst, reiterated Turley's comments from earlier this month regarding how the child support case involving Hunter Biden would present a legal challenge.
Honig added that this case would complicate matters for Hunter Biden, who is also the subject of federal investigations into his business dealings. Republicans alleged that the Bidens received millions of dollars from foreign governments.
According to Newsweek, the GOP-led House Oversight Committee released the bank records allegedly implicating the Biden family in an influence-peddling conspiracy.
The warning comes as House Republicans this week detailed what they deem to be disturbing new information regarding the family and finances of President Biden, Daily Express reported.
The smoking pistol, according to the GOP, are recently obtained financial records associated with the president's son Hunter, brother James Biden, and a growing number of associates who received millions of dollars from foreign entities in China and Romania.
They allege, without evidence, that the payments were part of a vast conspiracy to enrich themselves through the family name. More than 150 suspicious activity reports served as a guide for congressional Republicans as they followed what they call the Bidens' complex financial money trail.
The confidential reports, known as SARs for short, are typically routine, with the government being alerted to larger financial transactions automatically. The submission of a SARs report is not sufficient evidence of misconduct.

Hunter Biden Took Private Jet To Attend Court Hearing
Meanwhile, a report that Hunter Biden took a private aircraft to a court hearing has prompted online backlash from conservatives. Saturday, the New York Post published a report claiming to have seen flight records for a private aircraft that the president's son purportedly used to travel to Arkansas in late April for a court appearance.
According to reports, Hunter Biden's close friend and legal adviser, Kevin Morris, is the owner of the $6 million jet. Despite contending in court that he should be allowed to pay less child support to Roberts, which the newspaper described as him "crying poverty," the flight cost between $55,000 and $117,000, according to the documents.
Per Newsweek, Hunter Biden traveled a total of 7,326 miles from Washington, DC, to an airport in Jackson County, Arkansas, and then returned to Washington after the hearing. Due to his international business transactions, Hunter Biden has long been a source of conspiracies, some of which the president has been accused of being a part of.
The report sparked the anticipated outrage of conservatives on social media. The founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, compared the flight's most expensive estimate to Hunter Biden's child support payments.
The Biden family has been accused by Republicans of obtaining millions of dollars from foreign governments. The Republican-led House Oversight Committee disclosed bank records earlier this month, alleging that they demonstrate the Biden family's involvement in an influence-peddling conspiracy.
During Joe Biden's tenure as vice president during the Obama administration, the Biden family allegedly received millions of dollars from a number of Chinese and Romanian corporations, according to a 36-page memo containing allegedly "thousands" of bank records.
However, the memo lacked evidence that explicitly implicated the president or any member of his family in criminal activity.
Hunter Biden's laptop reportedly contained an email from 2015 from Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma board who sought a meeting with his father when he was vice president.
In recent years, leakers have accused the Biden administration of mishandling the federal investigation into Hunter Biden, politicizing federal law enforcement agencies, and concealing evidence related to a "criminal conspiracy" Joe Biden allegedly engaged in while serving as vice president.
Whistleblower protections are codified in federal law, and these disclosures are protected by federal law. The protocol dictates that a whistleblower should initially approach an immediate supervisor or the supervisor in command of the issue.
If the whistleblower believes that approaching a supervisor could endanger his or her safety or that the supervisor is implicated in potential malfeasance, he or she may go directly to the agency's inspector general. The inspector general can then communicate with Congress when necessary, as per Fox News.
