Technical difficulties may make it difficult for British Columbians to monitor the ferry status on a busy holiday Monday.
Since this morning, the BC Ferries website, app, and phone system have been down, making it impossible for customers to obtain timetables, routes, and sailing information, according to the Daily Hive.
Updates on sailing conditions are being made available by BC Ferries through their Twitter account to keep passengers informed.
BC Ferries tweeted that its IT team is "actively addressing the issue and working on a resolution." The company added that it "will post updates" as information becomes available.
Deborah Marshall, the executive director of public relations for BC Ferries, said that the BC Ferries website would soon be back up and running. She did not provide the exact time.
Marshall said they were "rebooting the system" to address the technical problem and assured customers that services would be restored as soon as possible.
