According to CBS Sports, the NFL has chosen the iconic Lambeau Field host venue for the much-anticipated NFL Draft 2025, bringing football excitement to Green Bay.
Green Bay, known for its love affair with football, has long been a contender to host the NFL Draft. After submitting numerous applications, their persistence has paid off. The NFL has chosen Lambeau Field as the stage for the league's brightest young talents.
Meanwhile, Lambeau Field has witnessed countless memorable moments and historic victories, such as the legendary "Frozen Tundra" game to the Super Bowl. Now, it is gearing up to add another chapter to its legacy by hosting the NFL Draft.
CBS Sports notes that the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft marks its first-ever event in Green Bay. However, it is set to return to Wisconsin for the second time. The first one dates several decades ago. Back in 1940, the draft kicked off at the Schroeder Hotel in Milwaukee.
Now, after 85 years, the much-awaited comeback to Wisconsin is taking place in Green Bay in 2025.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that they are excited to work hand in hand with the Packers and Discover Green Bay to kick off the upcoming NFL Draft in the historic Lambeau field in 2025.
Draft Hosting Could Bring 250,000 Visitors to Wisconsin
Besides bringing prestige and pride to the community, the NFL Draft also brings significant economic benefits to the host city. Hotels, restaurants, and local businesses can expect a significant surge in tourism since football enthusiasts are set to flock to Green Bay for the high-anticipated festivities.
The Associated Press News reports that Green Bay expects football fans to flock to the city for the NFL 2025 Draft. As early as now, an estimated 250,000 visitors are expected to set foot to join the festivities in the city, which flaunts a population of 107,000.
Meanwhile, Packers President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Murphy could not contain his excitement over the upcoming hosting of the much-awaited 2025 NFL Draft. He notes, "This is an incredible day for the Packers, Greater Green Bay, and the entire state of Wisconsin."
As per Fox 11 Online, Murphy points out that the Packers' rich and proud history, combined with the League's heritage, is set to deliver a "memorable event" in 2025.
