Xbox games are coming to Boosteroid, a cloud gaming service for various platforms like PC and Mac, this June.
If you are a fan of games like "Deathloop" and "Gears 5," you might not want to miss this chance.
Xbox Games Are Heading to Boosteroid This June
Xbox games are making their way to the highly acclaimed cloud gaming service, Boosteroid, as per a report by Engadget.
The groundbreaking collaboration enables gamers to access an extensive library of Xbox titles on various platforms. Whether you are a fan of intense first-person shooters, heart-pounding adventures, or immersive open-world games, Boosteroid got you covered. The cloud gaming service is available to PC Windows and MacOS users. On top of that, Android TV, Linux, and Android users may also get their hands on it.
Users of the cloud gaming service in the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK), as well as the rest of the European Union and Ukraine, may access some Microsoft-owned games or first-party Xbox titles. However, they must buy these games on PC gaming online storefronts, such as the Epic Games Store or Steam.
Which Games Are Coming to the Cloud Service
The Xbox Vice President Sarah Tejares announced the groundbreaking partnership in a blog post. Bond says they will "regularly add more hits and fan favorites from our extensive catalog of PC games." However, she did not disclose which additional titles will soon hit the cloud gaming service.
The VP notes that the partnership seeks to provide games from Xbox Games Studios and Bethesda to cloud gaming. Bond also hints that future Activision Blizzard PC titles will also be on their way to Boosteroid.
So for now, users may access some of the eligible Xbox titles, such as "Deathloop" and "Gears 5," on Boosteroid starting on June 1. "Grounded" and "Pentiment" are also on their way.
"Deathloop" is a first-shooter title that Bethesda debuted last September 2021. It is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Meanwhile, the action-adventure game "Grounded" and the adventure title "Pentiment" rolled out last July 2020 and November 2022, respectively.
On the other hand, "Gears 5," a third-person shooter game under Xbox Studios, exclusively caters to Xbox and Windows users.
But since May 18, another cloud gaming service NVIDIA GeForce Now lets users stream "Gear 5."
And later this week, more Xbox titles are heading to the service, such as "Pentinment," "Grounded," and "Deathloop."
It is worth noting that the Xbox owner Microsoft is still in the process of acquiring Activision Blizzard. Video Games Chronicle reports that the European Commission and Chinese competition regulator recently gave the $69 billion deal a go signal. The acquisition faced controversy over concerns about its effect on the overall cloud gaming market.
