PlayStation Plus free games for June 2023 are now official. Sony confirms the lineup includes the sought-after "NBA 2K23" for PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PS4.
Next week, three gaming titles are coming to the Sony subscription service, PlayStation Plus.
PlayStation Plus June 2023 Games Revealed
In a recent blog post, the Sony Interactive Entertainment Director of Content Acquisition and Operations, Adam Michel, announced the monthly games of PlayStation Plus for June.
As May nears its end, PlayStation Plus subscribers are excitedly awaiting the games hitting the service as the new month approaches. Now, the long wait is over. The Japanese tech giant has finally confirmed the first three titles for June.
Next week, basketball fans can start shooting hoops on their PS5 or PS4 as the "NBA 2K23" arrives to PS Plus subscribers. The headliner for June's lineup is the most recent iteration of the highly sought-after sports series. The new edition graces the comeback of the much-awaited Jordan Challenge, as per Engadget. It allows players to dive into some of the key moments in the legendary career of His Airness Michael Jordan.
But that is not all! Besides the "NBA 2K23," Sony also offers the highly popular simulation title, "Jurassic World Evolution 2." It lets players unleash their inner paleontologist as they get to create their Jurassic theme park. As a park manager, you can build your own Jurassic World, featuring breathtaking attractions and, of course, awe-inspiring dinosaurs.
If you are still unsatisfied with the first two offerings, look no more as PS Plus also brings the indie hit "Trek to Yomi" this month. The action-adventure title lets players turn into young samurai to carry out revenge on the attackers of their village.
How to Redeem Free Games on PS Plus
All these games are arriving at the PS Plus library next week, or on June 6, to be exact, Push Square reports. By then, PS Plus subscribers, starting with the Essential tier, could get their hands on it for free without paying extra. It is worth noting that an Essential tier subscription costs $9.99 per month in the US.
The free gaming titles come with their PS5 and PS4 versions. So it does not matter if you are clinging to the older Sony console as long as you have an existing PS Plus subscription.
But for now, PS Plus subscribers have a few more days to get their hands on the May games lineup, which includes "Grid Legends," "Descenders," and "Chivalry 2." By next week, the June catalog, such as NBA 2K23, is taking over the Sony gaming service.
