Elon Musk's net worth is soaring to new heights yet again, reclaiming the world's richest person title for the Tesla and Twitter CEO.
He has been in the second spot of the world's richest ranking since the year began. But this time, he has reclaimed the top ranking yet again.
Elon Musk Net Worth Soars: World's Richest Once Again
The big boss of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter has once again become the world's richest person, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. As per a report by BBC, Musk dethroned LVMH Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bernard Arnault from the top spot.
Musk's net worth is now up by roughly $55.3 billion since the start of 2023, which sums up to a whopping $192 billion.
The surge in his wealth follows the rising price of Tesla stock. However, it is worth noting that the billionaire entrepreneur also owns two tech giants, the space exploration firm SpaceX and the social media juggernaut Twitter. So the performance of these companies also affects his overall wealth.
On the other hand, Arnault, the big boss of the Louis Vuitton parent, lags behind Chief Twit. His net worth slumped around $24.5 billion, bringing down his fortune to $187 billion, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index shows.
According to CNBC, Musk trailed behind the LVMH CEO in the world's richest ranking last December. It comes as Tesla stocks slumped due to its CEO's Twitter acquisition worth $44 billion.
World's Richest People
Musk and Arnault undisputedly take the first and second spots, but how about the rest?
Jeff Bezos, the Amazon co-founder and Blue Origin founder, takes the third ranking. Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates his total net worth at roughly $146 billion. Another tech entrepreneur, Bill Gates, makes it to the list, precisely the fourth spot, with $126 billion.
Oracle CEO Larry Ellison is the fifth richest person in the world, flaunting a $118 billion fortune. Next to him is the former Microsoft boss, Steve Ballmer.
Meanwhile, investor Warren Buffet takes the seventh spot, amassing $113 billion of wealth. Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin sit on the eighth and ninth ranking, respectively.
The Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, who leads the tech giant Meta, which owns Instagram and WhatsApp, is at the last spot of the top ten list. The social media boss flaunts a $99.2 billion net worth.
Forbes notes in its report that these top billionaires are some of the most powerful folks here on Earth. In fact, a ton of them run companies that are widely known across the globe, such as Microsoft and Google.
