It's confirmed! Hobbs is returning for the andrenaline-filled movie series.

Dwayne Johnson confirmed his return to the 'Fast & Furious' franchise as he stars in its upcoming film.

The actor, who played Luke Hobbs in the previous two films, had previously said he would not return to the franchise due to a feud with Vin Diesel. But as time passed by, things changed.

According to CNN, Johnson, known as The Rock, took to social media to announce his much-awaited comeback to the 'Fast & Furious' series. The actor says he is "one hundred percent confirming" Hobb's return to the franchise.

After The Rock's character showed up in a surprising cameo in the mid-credits scene of the May blockbuster offering, 'Fast X,' Universal Picture has confirmed speculations of his character's return.

Johnson first appeared in the franchise as a security service agent in 2011. He joined the franchise for its fifth installment entitled 'Fast Five.' And since then, the 'Black Adam' actor graced the next five films. He also starred in his spinoff, 'Hobbs & Shaw,' in 2019.

But in 2021, The Rock explicitly confirmed that his last appearance in the action-packed franchise is on the 2019 blockbuster, 'Hobbs & Shaw.' He declares he "would not be returning to the franchise."

Johnson's return is a significant coup for the adrenaline-fueled world of the "Fast & Furious." His surprising comeback will generate a lot of excitement and buzz for the upcoming film. It is now official that The Rock is returning to the action-packed series in an upcoming movie, which is still a mystery.

The Hollywood Reporter suggests that the new film is not 'Fast 11' nor another spinoff. Instead, sources of the entertainment news outlet say the movie sits in the middle of 'Fast X' and 'Fast 11.' In other words, it is considered a 10.5.

As per People Magazine, Johnson departed from the massive franchise, citing differences with his co-star Diesel. The tension between Diesel and The Rock came to light during a film production 2016. The latter voiced out his frustration on Instagram without naming his co-actor.

But months after Johnson left the adrenaline-filled franchise, Diesel publicly asked the 'Black Adam' actor to return in time for the tenth installment of the series, 'Fast X.' But The Rock declined to offer, telling CNN that there is "no chance" for his much-awaited comeback.

Yet this time, the two have finally patched things up. Johnson reveals, "Vin and I put all the past behind us" last summer.
