Veteran Hong Kong actor Chow Yun Fat was reportedly slapped 62 times for a scene in his comeback film "Salvation" (also translated as "One More Chance" or "Don't Call Me God of Gamblers"), which was scheduled to premiere in China and Hong Kong on June 21 after a four-year delay.
In one of the clips shared by the movie's Weibo account, the 68-year-old actor told his fellow actor Kenny Wong to slap him repeatedly for a scene and not to hold back and even demonstrated how to do so in the process.
"For the sake of the production, please go ahead and slap," the caption wrote. "Don't worry."
Another clip also showed Chow being injured in the forehead after he and Wong worked on a fight scene. He reassured the cast, crew, and his Singaporean wife Jasmine Tan that he was fine and was just a "superficial wound." Chow later returned to the set, revealing he had to have five stitches sewn on his injured forehead.

Chow was also featured in a third clip, where he acted out a scene where his hair was dragging his character. "Luckily, Fat Gor has a lot of hair," he joked about himself using his nickname.
His fans eventually praised him because he insisted on acting out all the physical scenes instead of using a stunt double.
"Fat Gor is very professional and acts well, I support him," a fan wrote in a comment.
The film is Chow's first after a five-year hiatus, where he plays the character of an irresponsible gambler whose ex-girlfriend (played by Anita Yuen) asked him the favor of taking care of her autistic son. It was later revealed in the movie that the boy turned out to be his own son.
