Now that fans know what Rick, Carl, Darryl and the rest of our favorite "Walking Dead" characters have been up to following the prison attack, it's time for some more spoilers. E! News caught up with executive producer Gale Anne Hurd who dished on what's in store for Carl and Michonne on Sunday's episode, titled "Claimed."
According to the site, Carl and Michonne go on a dangerous mission together to get more supplies. Rick, who is still recuperating, stays behind at the house. Fans of the show should definitely know by now that a simple trip to get more ammo never, ever goes smoothly and this trip isn't any different.
E! claims the journey will be dangerous and will also have "pop-up surprises from undead flesh-hungry walkers." We hope Carl and Michonne are prepared.
Fans will also get another flashback revealing more of Michonne's past and E! warns that "it's not a happy one." We have a horrible feeling it could have something to do with Michonne's children. Remember last season when she broke down in tears while holding baby Judith?
Hurd told E! that fans are in for a few surprises because Michonne's backstory will be different than in the comics.
"Obviously, as with everything in our show, there are changes from what's in the comic book, but it's clearly an element [that we're going to explore]," she said.
Now, on to Carl. The young boy has definitely been emotional and a little stubborn so far this season. While some fans find him annoying, Hurd explains that Carl has been through a lot for someone his age.
"This is a child who's had to shoot his mother who was going to turn into a walker, and had to shoot Shane, who was like a surrogate father to him," she said. "Any relationship between a father and a son, especially a son going through puberty and becoming a teenager, is going to be fraught with difficulty. And that's amplified by the fact that they're now separated from the rest of the group, and Rick still isn't in good shape, so I think it's likely that the balance will go back and forth as to who needs who more."
