The Denver Nuggets finally won their very first NBA championship.
Fans rejoiced as their team won against the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals 2023.
The Nuggets was able to overwhelm the opposing team with a score of 94-89; winning the series (4-1).
However, an unfortunate event happened in Denver as a mass shooting injured some people.
The incident happened on Tuesday, June 13, in the 2000 block of Market St. Is the mass shooting connected to the Nuggets' NBA title win celebration?
Denver Mass Shooting After Nuggets' NBA Title Win
According to CNN, the location where the mass shooting happened is less than a mile away from the Ball Arena, where the NBA Finals Game 5 was held.

Nine individuals were shot during the incident; three of them are in critical condition.
The rest of the injured Denver residents are believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.
The Denver Police Department also shot the suspect. After that, he was taken into custody.
Based on the videos on the internet, the intersection in the 2000 block of Market Street was packed with hundreds of Nuggets fans.
As of writing, it is still unclear if the mass shooting in Denver is linked to the celebration of the Nuggets' first NBA title win.

"#DPD is investigating a shooting in the 2000 block of Market St. Preliminary information indicates there are four victims who are being transported to the hospital," said the Denver Police Department via its official Twitter announcement.
DPD added that the mass shooting investigation is still ongoing. Police authorities further stated that they will provide an update via a livestream; major details will also be provided to the media.

- Try fighting in groups; only do this when you and the people around you have no other options.
