On Thursday, June 22, the U.S. Coast Guard, during a news conference, announced the death of the OceanGate passengers.

"The debris is consistent with a catastrophic implosion of the vessel," said U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. John Mauger.

This tragedy could have been prevented if OceanGate predicted what was going to happen.

It turns out somebody on Facebook was able to do just that.

As of writing, the FB post already garnered over 92,000 shares, 67,000 reactions, and hundreds of comments.

This creepy prediction was posted by Deborah Grattan-a music producer and musician living in Ireland-in 2013.

Aside from very specific details, the lack of edit history on her viral Facebook post makes it creepier.

Many netizens also noticed that Deborah's Facebook post has no edit history. Because of this, they are now calling her the modern-day Nostradamus.

For those who are hesitant to believe that her Facebook post is not edited, the official Facebook Help Center explained that if users can see the post, they can also see any edit made. But, they can't see who made the edits.

Deborah's Prediction

In her official 2013 Facebook post, Deborah shared her weird dream, which happened on November 1, 2013.

"Had a weird dream that an evil billionaire started doing submarine trips down to Titanic and somehow pumped water out of parts of it but then it turned to disaster on its maiden outing," said Grattan.

Since it was just a dream, Deborah thought that her sleeping experience could become a great movie. Her followers and friends even agreed that what happened in her dream could lead to a second "Titanic" movie.

In the comment section, she shared more creepy details about her dream. Deborah said that all the walls of the submarine were collapsing.

"Water everywhere...and everything was really dark and ominous..," she added.

Comparing it to U.S. authorities' statements, her prediction matched what happened to OceanGate's Titan submersible.
