The global fast-food giant McDonald's announced last month it was now offering a $200 wedding plan for couples in Indonesia wishing to have the fast-food chain cater on their wedding day.

According to the firm's Indonesian Instagram account, the wedding package included 100 chicken sandwiches and 100 packs of four-piece chicken nuggets.

"McD'ers, let's make [your] wedding moment more memorable with the Wedding Mekdi package," read the Instagram post.

There are also other package options with a minimum order of 200 pieces, the post added.

McDonald's Indonesian corporate communication supervisor Rizki Haryadi told The Sun there were more options aside from chicken sandwiches and nuggets. "The wedding package is not for holding a wedding at a McD store, but only for food, such as catering with prices starting from $235, with a minimum purchase of 200 products," he clarified.

While the service made its debut in Indonesia, the package may make its way over to the United States in the future.

Reboot of Earlier 'McWedding' Promo

The new wedding package came several years after a McDonald's branch in Hong Kong revealed they performed marriages inside the store.

The basic "Happiness Party" package at that time, which costs about $382, includes everything from invites, venue, audio equipment, and food for an extra $127.

The New York Post reached out to McDonald's for comment.

Public Reaction to 'McWedding' Package

Several people on social media found the concept hysterical.

"The new breakthrough is now an international restaurant brand entering into weddings," joked one user. "It's crazy when you open a package like this, home catering automatically panics," jeered another.

Recently, McDonald's went viral after several TikTokers managed to fabricate a dark backstory on the company's Grimace shake, which was released to celebrate one of the company's mascots.
