What to Do During Mass Shooting
Mass shootings can happen anytime and anywhere, especially in countries where it's easy to get weapons, such as the U.S.
This is why the U.S. Department of Homeland Security provided the best practices you can do to avoid becoming a victim of a mass shooting:
- Always check for the nearest exits.
- Always be aware of your environment.
- Try staying in the office if you're in one during a mass shooting.
- If you are in a hallway, try finding a secured room to hide.
- When the shooter is already close, the best thing you can do is try to take the shooter down by force. Remember, you can't outrun the shooter when he's near you.
