The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said investigations are underway after a shooting crime was reported near 1st and South Gless streets in Boyle Heights.
Police alleged the shooting happened Sunday night (July 16), when two women aged 21 and 25 were shot in the incident, with the older one dying at the scene. The 21-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment after she was shot in the leg. She is now in a stable condition.
The two male suspects ran from the scene and remain at large as of Monday morning (July 17). No descriptions were released by police as of this report.
Police said the incident was believed to be gang-related, but the cause of the shooting is still being investigated.

Latest Of Many Shootings In Boyle Heights
The shooting is the latest in a string of incidents in the Los Angeles neighborhood.
Last week, a man was arrested and charged for allegedly shooting multiple people with an AR-15-style firearm while driving a car in Boyle Heights. 25-year-old autistic man Noah Martinez was also shot and killed while walking home from work last June.
