In an interview with Foxx News' Sunday Morning Futures, the ex-President says that European countries are roughly "$100 billion short."
Donald Trump Says Europe Should Give Ukraine More Aid
The former U.S. President is back in the limelight. This time, Trump boldly called on Europe to dig deep and shower Ukraine with over $100 billion in additional aid.
According to Newsweek, Trump's previous remarks seemingly favors Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. The former President of the US (POTUS) dubbed the Russian leader's move "genius" and "smart."
These days, Trump repeatedly claims that the invasion should have not taken place if he was still in the White House. He also asserted that he could easily end the conflict in merely 24 hours or a day.
And now, in an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo Trump declared that Europe is lagging behind the US when it comes to Ukraine aid. He tells European countries they are "about $100 billion-plus short, you gotta pay."
The Republican 2024 nomination frontrunner further claims that "Europe is smiling all the way to the bank" since they are "doing very little" than the US.
He made such remarks as Sunday Morning Futures host Bartiromo asked the former President if the plans to "stop the money" that the US is showering the conflicted country.
As per The Washington Examiner, the US Congress has agreed to shell out roughly $113 billion in Ukraine assistance and aid to other allied nations since February 2022. That is according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget's data.
Trump responded to Bartiromo, saying he plans to "get the war settled." The Republican leader further claimed that the US has already shelled out $150 billion in aid, whereas Europe is only at $20 billion. He then argued that the economy of the European region is relatively the same size as the US.
Trump Explains How He Plans to End Russia-Ukraine Conflict in a Day
As Fox News reports, Trump also shed light on his audacious plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war in merely 24 hours in his interview on Sunday Morning Futures.
The Republican leader boasted about his good relationship with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russia's Putin. Trump says he plans to "tell Zelenskyy, no more. You got to make a deal. I would tell Putin, if you don't make a deal, we're going to give him a lot." The former US President reiterated that he plans to finish the deal in a day.
