The Massachusetts gun control bill could turn firearm owners into criminals. This is what a Blue State firearm instructor claims, saying that the legislation has flaws.
Massachusetts Gun Control Bill Could Turn Firearm Owners Into Criminals
Tom Cheffro, the owner of Boston Firewarms in Everett, Massachusetts, shared his concerns regarding the gun control bill. He explained that if the legislation becomes a law, it will create daunting regulations for law-abiding firearm owners.
"What the gun owners in this state need to know is that if this law passes, we are all in jeopardy of becoming criminals," said the weapons instructor via Fox News.
Cheffro said that he sees numerous issues in the new gun control bill in Massachusetts.
Overall, the gun instructor explained that the legislation will make owning and acquiring firearms too confusing for law-abiding citizens.
Tom further stated that instead of curbing gun violence, this could increase it.
"I don't think it will make anybody in Massachusetts more safe. I just think it's a total overreach. It's not common sense," added Cheffro.

About Massachusetts Gun Control Bill
CBS News reported that if the new Massachusetts gun control bill becomes a law, it could bring sweeping gun safety reforms.
These include tracking monitor systems, as well as firearm carrying restrictions in many public places.
Aside from these, are other changes included in the Massachusetts gun control bill:
- Banning human silhouette targets in firearm ranges.
- Including stun guns in the definition of firearms.
- Prevent people under 18 years old from owning pepper spray or mace.
- Banning individuals under 21 years old from purchasing or carrying semi-automatic rifles and shotguns.
Because of this wide range of gun restrictions, a gun rights organization even warned firearm owners to avoid visiting Massachusetts.
The agency added that if you're a firearm owner living in that state, then you better start packing your things and move to another place.
The National Association for Gun Rights' Director Austin Hein said that if the control bill is passed as law, it will make Massachusetts the most anti-gun state in the U.S.
