Is he referring to Area 51?

An ex-U.S. Air Force intelligence officer claims that the U.S. government is hiding its UFO retrieval program. David Grusch talked about this during his highly anticipated testimony on Wednesday, July 26, to Congress.

According to CGTN's latest report, the U.S. government has been hiding a longstanding program for retrieving UFOs (unidentified flying objects), as claimed by Grusch. He added that this UFO project is also used to reverse engineer UFOs.

The former Air Force intelligence official claimed that he was ordered by the U.S. government to handle UFOs, which are now called UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena).

David added that he was tasked to identify all highly classified programs relating to the task force's UAP mission.

During that time, Grusch said that he was detailed to the U.S. agency that handles spy satellites; the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office.

"I was informed in the course of my official duties of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program to which I was denied access," he said via CBC News.

The Pentagon denied the cover-up claims made by Grush. Sue Gough, the Defense Department spokesperson, said that there is no verifiable information to prove the former Air Force intelligence officer's accusations.

Grusch also defended himself, saying that ever since he decided to become a government whistleblower, he faced numerous retaliations.

"It was very brutal and very unfortunate, some of the tactics they used to hurt me both professionally and personally," said David.

As of writing, UFO is one of the most interesting topics that the U.S. government is discussing.

Rep. Glenn Grothman, R.Wis., the official who chaired the recent panel's hearing, jokingly said that it's the most exciting subcommittee in Congress this week.

Ever since UFO hearings began, many U.S. lawmakers began criticizing the Pentagon for not providing more details in classified briefings.

They also criticize the defense agency for the lack of UFO images that can be shown to the public.
