Trader Joe's has recalled Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup in seven states after the grocery chain discovered the product had "insects in the frozen broccoli florets," according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
The recall affects Florida, Illinois, California, Texas, Washington, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, with a total of 10,889 affected cases in the bad batch, the FDA added.
A representative of the company is yet to respond to the FDA's announcement.
Other Trade Joe's Recalls
The grocery chain earlier announced last week that it was recalling two of its cookie products after discovering they might contain rocks. The recall affected Trader Joe's Almond Windmill Cookies and its Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies.
According to Trader Joe's announcement last Friday (July 21), the supplier alerted the company that the product might contain rocks, and all potentially affected cookies were taken off the shelves and destroyed.
Earlier this year, Trader Joe's also recalled a frozen fruit due to a probable hepatitis A contamination.
