A fan who was hit by a microphone thrown by Cardi B during a concert in Las Vegas has filed a police report.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department disclosed that a Cardi B fan reported the incident to the local authorities on Sunday.
Cardi B Fan Files Police Report After Microphone Throwing Incident
As per CBS News, the incident occurred on Saturday at Drai's Beachclub, where Cardi B performed. The fan, who has not been identified, was reportedly hit by the microphone after an audience threw a drink at the rapper on stage. As of this writing, it has yet to be determined if the woman who filed the police report was the same person who spilled the drink as the "WAP" singer.
In videos of the incident, Cardi B was shocked after a fan splashed a drink at her.
While the chart-topping rap sensation was performing her No. 1 hit "Bodak Yellow," one of her audience, a woman in an orange swimsuit cover-up, splashed her drink on the rapper. She then threw her microphone into the crowd. In the clip, which quickly spread like wildfire on social media, Cardi is seemingly berated the fan after she tossed her mic.
The police say a woman turned to the authorities after the incident "to report a battery." The person asserts in the report that she was "struck by an item that was thrown from the stage" amid the Vegas concert last on Saturday.
Insider reports that the Las Vegas Police Department assures "no arrest or citations have been issued."
Cardi B Retaliates at Fan Who Spilled Water on Her
The sensational hitmaker has yet to directly address the incident. However, Cardi B, dubbed by some as the "Queen of Rap," retweeted a video of the occurrence, which shows a fan splashing a drink at her. The caption of the tweet she shared reads: "Jealous Ass Bitch!"
According to USA Today, another video sprouting like mushrooms online shows the sensational rapper seemingly asking fans to splash her with water. She was heard saying, "Give me water." The audience then splashed her backside. However, it is still unclear if her remarks occurred before or after the incident wherein she threw a microphone at a fan.
Before the microphone-throwing fiasco, the 30-year-old rapper dished out her new song entitled "Jealously" on Friday.
Object-throwing incidents from fans have been a notorious trend these days. Some go as far as injuring the victim artists. Harry Styles, Pink, and Lil Nas X are recent victims. Pop singer Bebe Rexha had an injury, requiring some stitches after an audience tossed a phone at her face.
