Elon Musk's Twitter recently underwent a dramatic rebranding and is now known as "X," which has shocked people all across the world.
This makeover included adding a sizable X to the top of Twitter's corporate building and changing the platform's iconic blue bird emblem to a more futuristic X. The reporting structure of the company has now received some extra information.
Linda Yaccarino's Role
Elon Musk and CEO Linda Yaccarino will jointly manage X's content filtering, which has previously been under the control of the Trust and Safety division, according to First Post. This development follows the June resignation of Twitter's head of trust and safety.
X also disclosed that Yaccarino will be in control of all other divisions, including human resources, legal, finance, sales, and operations, while Musk will be in command of X's product and engineering team.
An email sent to staff stated that this action represented their shared commitment to preserving a secure and productive workplace.
Since Elon Musk bought the platform in October of last year, the trust and safety team, which is in charge of content monitoring, has been under heavy fire.
Researchers claim that X has loosened content limitations, which has increased the number of damaging posts. The bulk of content views, according to the business, is on "healthy" topics, nevertheless.
Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, recently informed the company's staff via email that a new executive is being sought to supervise brand safety and suitability.
Former brand safety director A.J. Brown left the company last month after helping to stop adverts from displaying next to offensive content.
The New X Leaders
Three X leaders would be in charge of specific duties inside the trust and safety section, Yaccarino also said in the email. These obligations include dealing with potential threats and conducting law enforcement activities.
Musk has been a vocal critic of Twitter's moderation policies, which he believes are too restrictive. He has also said that he wants to make Twitter a more open and free platform for speech.
Since acquiring Twitter, Musk has made a number of changes to the platform. He has fired several top executives, including CEO Parag Agrawal. He has also made changes to the moderation policies, making it easier for users to post tweets that were previously banned.
Musk's plans for Twitter have been met with mixed reactions. Some people have praised him for his vision for the platform, while others have criticized his changes. It remains to be seen whether Musk's plans for Twitter will be successful.
